Toms, cukes peppers

I understand uk has something of a shortage, possible not do much of a brexit issue, rather the hyper competitive pricing in uk retail plus when supply is restricted it’s easier to deal with your local market.

Worth mentioning a view on rationing. During WW1 rationing was introduced in uk towards the end of the conflict very much supported and promoted by citizens who had seen price inflation driven by the more wealthy who also took more than a “fair” share. In WW2 this situation was still in living memory and thus rationing was welcomed.
