Ursula von der Leyen and ‘dear Rishi’ unveil a new relationship

It seems to take a ridiculous amount of time to reach an agreement, frankly I am surprised that this issue is not more focused upon by EU citizens. The monolithic nature of EC does not facilitate fast reaction to such issues and I wonder how, in the future, the bloc will be able to take a unified stand on “external” threats to the unity of countries in Europe.
