I have had food out since January / February and whilst not denying the jackdaws access to the fat balls I have made it increasingly difficult for them; watching the aviobatics, group anger and shinanigans as a flock of perhaps six birds vie for a go at the ball whilst the remainder peck on the ground for scraps is belly wobble laughing at times! In any event now the balls last perhaps three days and just this last week I see many small birds coming in; they also use the bird bath.
