All going swimmingly in Hanswert canal when phut phut engine stopped. Grrrrr. Stabilised under sail heading back south, identify problem, get a sore thumb pumping the lift pump, bleed diesel and all ok. Have to clean bilge, looks like a litre or so of leakage.
Lessons learned, do up the spin ons tight, check they are done up tight. More than 3L of diesel leaked into bilge, Lidl 12v oil removing pump sucked it out like a goodun, just a few rag squeezes and all liquid out, a soapy wash when time and tijd allow. (For non Dutch speakers like me tijd means both time and tide in Dutch)
