Burma – Myanmar

My plans for 2020, pre Covid, had a visit to this country, birthplace of my father at least in the pipe dream. I feel that the modern face of China hides the reality of a barbarous state with a strong history of torture, racial cleansing and oppression. People forget the horrendous destruction of Tibets culture, the perhaps 40 million deaths in the cultural revolution, the current Eyghur oppression. Currently we look to Burma and see the core military strategy of PRC at work.
