I put the Genoa on, the one that Walter of Bezemer sails condemned and after a bit of feeling the sail (it’s heavy) I have to agree, it’s ripe now and I think it will split in heavier airs. This can be a drag if you either can’t pull it down or a heavy wave action when working the foredeck. I had decided to risk that but after pulling it down and “feeling “ it I should have taken Walter’s advice.
So, look for second hand sail, find one, nice chap A-Sails, get it on and it don’t fit! My fault, used online data and interpolation plus guesstimate rather than measuring the old one! Derrrrrr.
I see if A-sails can help, if not soon to push off.
