The more I think about this topic the less clear becomes my focus. Focus initially ww2 demolitions which is of course too narrow. I’ll ponder on this one for a bit and consider giving the site a tart up as well is promoting this topic to a fixed page.

Really the technical expertise of the German’s has to be recognised; perhaps being interested in the type (one of, I think, 2,000) of standardised design is going a bit far but.. Equally the industrial demolitions of, eg Hellevoetsluis, Den Haag et Al to, I hesitate to say, improve the defendability of such. These demolitions included parts of the Atlantic wall.
