On Dartmoor, they are currently debating the continuation of “wild camping” on the moor. We did it way back, you needed good waterproofs! But the idea of a national park in my mind is a massive area, huge, with people living and working in it, farming in low intensity, village pub etc.
I was told of a Seppo in Bruges who asked a policeman what time the park closed mind you.
