Car import started

Car dropped off at Honda specialist and new, lhd headlights on order. I hope this change over will be complete early January (the RH light is on back order and due 31 December). Das Auto collect vehicle, do the import procedure (testing, new plates, check what if any BPM is due and deliver back to Hellevoetsluis ). I did file a request to have BPM Set aside under a provision allowed under import of domestic goods but am rather late filing this. We shall see. In any event when you do all the sums it comes out roughly balanced between the two options, taking car to UK and selling or going through this process. Since the UK option is at least difficult to do I choose the somewhat complicated import process and the associated costs. I keep my fingers crossed as I like the vehicle; it probably has 3-5 years life left but does continue to achieve low fuel consumption of 4.2 LPHK.
