Weather on the way up pretty much as forecast with Bft 3/4 veering sw and dropping Bft 2. Motor on for three hours. Decided to stay here for a few nights, the choice of going on anchor just outside, Stavoren and Flousen or being next to good bars and shops with shitty weather in the forecast makes it a no brainier aside from having to pay! I’ll do some maintenance jobs as a bit of self flagellation. At least it’s not busy for the moment.
Yes, I could have been on anchor in the middle of it, a lot of lightening. A few boats coming in looking rather stressed!
Was fairly wild overnight with strong gusts, maybe Bft 7. Rescue service bought a ship in around 04:00 with a helicopter in attendance.
