OK, brighter lights arrived today. The bulb holder is in good condition; brass disk is an interference fit in nylon screw in piece. A tad more solder work and we shall see if I can get illumination to work correctly. First up a 0.12 Watt (not sure you if I can rely on that number, it’s an led so) bulb. I have a range of four to try including two incandescents so expect to get to the next stage shortly. The sealant on top glass is (and was at acquisition) breaking up. I declined to remove it after after poking about a bit. Hmmm, don’t want to ruin it, a few bits of loose sealant floating about won’t stop it working so, I’ll go and calibrate/check as next step.
