My original plan, to overnight at the lock of the Zuid Beveland Kanal got blown out after a phone call with the lock keeper, no, you can’t stay overnight. Replanning to go via Terneuzen, around two hours with the current, overnight and the perhaps five hours up to the Willemdok in Antwerp. It’s a complicated passage with restricted sill heights on departures Vlissingen and a requirement to book a transit time through the Kattendijk lock during its operational hours which are again restricted by the height of the tide. Plus it’s Europes second busiest port with a lot of traffic on the Scheldt. We shall see how we get on and I’ll post some more on this page over the next two days.
Mad as hell, arrived Terneuzen after quick motor down to be greeted by Hafen meister, you must use this crap app to pay. Aanuit app was crap and still is.
